Meet our team
Seth Brecher
Seth previously worked for District of Columbia for over a decade as a College Summit teacher, academic department chair, and partnerships manager. Seth is a DC Teaching Fellow, a Flamboyan Foundation Family Engagement Fellow and was honored with the DCPS Inspirational Educator Award. Seth earned an MA in Education from George Washington University and a BA in Economics and History from Vanderbilt University.
Emily Block
Emily has worked in edtech for five years, first helping develop an award-winning educational app with RD Test Prep and then overseeing external communications at education finance company Vemo Education. She earned a dual MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she was a Levis fellow, and a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.
Ellen Crow
Ellen has over a decade of experience in higher education, from programming and student success at the University of Minnesota to partnership management at The School for Field Studies. Her work is motivated by the opportunity to drive equity and access to quality college experiences. Ellen holds a MA in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from the University of St Thomas. She volunteers for land conservation and native plant organizations at her home near Portland, Maine, and likes to hang out in coffee shops when she travels.
Shane Hasty
Shane has worked in education since 2017. Before joining Edmit Solutions as Regional Director, he managed donor relationships for an education nonprofit, helped solve higher ed faculty challenges with Wiley, and distributed educational materials to bookstores and higher-ed buyers through Pearson. Shane is passionate about education and the outdoors. He holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Dayton.
Larry Hogan
Larry leads partner development and success teams at Edmit Solutions. Over the last decade, he has had the privilege of working for University of Maryland Global Campus, CEA Study Abroad, and Vemo Education in roles leading student-facing teams and managing relationships with university partners. As a first-gen college student, Larry is passionate about access and equity in higher ed. Larry earned his MS in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University and his BA in Psychology from Goucher College.
Sabrina Manville
Sabrina was previously an AVP at Southern New Hampshire University and the award-winning College for America program. She has worked with leading higher education institutions throughout her career, with experience in the non-profit, corporate, and technology and publishing sectors. She has an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in Religious Studies from Yale University. Sabrina co-founded Edmit, the leading college financial planning platform operated by Edmit Solutions.
Matt McCabe
Matt has spent most of his career in higher education admissions and technology. As the product management leader for The Common Application for over 11 years, Matt helped guide the platform through significant expansion to serve millions of students, school counselors, and teachers. He also worked with the National Student Clearinghouse, Datatel/Ellucian, ApplyYourself, and as a classroom teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. Matt earned a BS in Technology Education from Virginia Tech.
Steven Paschal

Steven has previously worked in higher education, international education, and boot camps in a variety of roles across partner success. Steven is passionate about aligning the goals of educators to help drive student success at all stages of their educational journey. He has a degree in anthropology from the College of Charleston.
Howie Rosenblatt
Howie leads the engineering team at Edmit Solutions. He is passionate about building products to help families make better college choices. He has many years of leadership experience in both engineering and product at several early stage companies including a Mass Mutual startup focused on financial literacy. Howie has a Babson MBA and is an adjunct entrepreneurship professor at his alma mater, Cooper Union.
John Stephan
John is a Business Analyst on the Product Team at Edmit Solutions. He previously worked on the Analytics team at Vemo Education, designing ISA programs and building data insights tools for partners. John recently graduated from William & Mary's Mason School of Business with a degree in business analytics and a concentration in marketing. He also brings experience in content marketing from Visit Orlando.
Jeff Weinstein
Jeff has over two decades of experience serving as an economist and forecaster in the education finance industry. Prior to Edmit Solutions, Jeff was the Chief Data Scientist at MeasureOne and Pave. He also served as the Director of Data Science for Xerox’s Higher Education Services division, where he was responsible for student loan payment forecasting at both the internal and enterprise levels. Jeff holds a PhD in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
Drew Wilson
Drew has previously worked as a senior engineer at The Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM, Singularity University, and as director of technology of a national animal protection organization. As a former Mozilla Ford Open Web Fellow and a Code for America Fellow he has led open data initiatives with NGOs and municipal government. He founded VegFest, a nonprofit organization that hosts award-winning food festivals.
Andy Wong
Andy was a Senior Web Engineer at Cambridge startup incubator Cogo Labs and graduated from Launch Academy's programming apprenticeship. Andy is a published illustrator and founding member of the Boston Comics Roundtable, a collective of artists and writers in the Boston area. They created the Boston Comics Art Foundation and the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo: supporting, funding and promoting the work of local artists in the Greater Boston community.
